What on earth does this mean -
“wake up one day and you know there’s just one of two videos going up per month because I’ve had to let people go or Dijana go or both. Uhm I wanted you to have advance notice of what’s happening ”

If he has to let Tibor, Dijana or both go, it’s YOUR fault and he’s NOT increasing his hours to take over their duties.

Put simply, what he’s saying is this:

“If Patrons and YT memberships do not go up to at least 500 pledges, fuck you, you’re only getting 2 videos a month. You’re not paying me enough to do more and I really should be getting 620 paying patrons. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

He also completely invalidated his 220, 280 and 380 Patron goals where he promised to be travelling overseas to film documentaries and conduct interviews. He’s at 404 Patrons now and does not believe he has to keep to the promises made before.

I thought that email was in reference to the Texas dates he had set up through a dating app. If this was in relation to his Thailand trip, that makes it even more weird. Consider this: He felt excited and over the moon because young Thai girls he paid for sex touched his leg and seemed to be interested in him? Wasn’t that their job? Is he really this deluded?

He does think 620 patrons is a reachable goal so it was more of a rhetorical question.

Does he think the cash person at McDonald’s is personally interested in him when they say “see you soon, come again” after he picks up his Big Mac?

I think he only wanted her to maintain the married man facade, to look after his children and to be his housekeeper and personal chef

Absolutely. I’d like to add that he wanted them still married because a divorce would have caused a bit of a stir and questions to be asked as to what happened. It was a business decision with an arranged marriage as the ultimate result.

I do believe he got off on this and seemed to take a perverse pleasure in letting other parties know he wasn’t faithful to his wife. This was a plot point on the Wedding Singer movie when Drew Barrymore’s fiancé informs the Adam Sandler character in a club that he has sex with other women for no apparent reason other than to brag about it and make himself seem like a ladies man.

But didn’t all this happen all round the time she caught him in Texas and he came back and demanded an open relationship when confronted about it? I think the timeline to all this matters a lot if we are trying to get round what might have been going on in his head. Here’s what I think is the timeline of events but I am not entirely sure.

Lloyd goes to an atheist event in Texas. He arranged some online dates with locals and got off on feeling that younger women could possibly be interested in him. Pics were taken and Dijana found them on the shared iCloud.
Lloyd flies back to Croatia and is confronted with the evidence. He then demands an open marriage.
Dijana agrees at first and then backs out within a 24 hour period of time.
Lloyd tells KS and PB about prostitutes, Texas and the open marriage proposal.
Lloyd makes arrangements to go to Thailand, leaving his family alone for Christmas.
KS/PB talk Lloyd out of this and he agrees to leave for Thailand on 26 December 2021.
Dijana finds more pics on the iCloud and she’s done. She informs Lloyd she intends to divorce him.
KS/PB resign from JW Watch.
Lloyd returns early from a planned 2 month trip in order to manipulate his wife into not divorcing him and tries to negotiate with her by agreeing to come off dating apps, but still see sex workers and watch porn because she cannot satisfy him.

Please correct me if I am wrong with that timeline, but it seems to me that 2, 3, and 4 all happen in a quick succession of events shortly before Christmas. If so, it would seem to me that he might have been trying to involve others to convince Dijana to reconsider the open relationship demand?

That’s not an accurate accounting of active subscribers. This forum has a tonne of users but only a small percentage are active. Some have passed away, there are some duplicate accounts but by far the most are people who have moved on. It’s the typical cycle for exJWS. Most don’t spend more than 3-4 years active in the community. Many of Lloyd’s subs are people who have moved on. The views indicate that roughly 1/10th of his total subs are actually active. And views aren’t that accurate either as some click on the video twice or more.

The zeitgeist of the AAWA era was insane. At first everyone loved it and it was such a great intro video that Lloyd produced.

Then Lloyd happened.

I took a back seat on most of that, knowing he’d find a way to fuck it up. It was clear to me that he was holding onto his position as president because he was either promised or was already getting a decent amount of money. If it was a volunteer position, he would have bolted out of there long before he did.

Then he comes back here after his resignation like a wounded animal, taking subtle shots at Bo Juel and blaming him as the main reason for leaving. As it turned out, Bo was at the dinner at Dick Kelly’s home and he called an idea of Lloyd’s “stupid”. English isn’t his first language so it wasn’t as harsh as it might have sounded and Bo made the distinction that the idea was stupid, not Lloyd personally. (I respectfully disagree with Mr Juel)

Lloyd stood up at one point and in tears, demanded an apology. When Bo tried to explain without first offering an apology, Lloyd took his wife and said they were leaving. Lloyd later claimed that Bo was hitting on Dijana. Bo was a ladies man for sure, but as he explained it, he was only being friendly and she wasn’t his type.

Story goes that after Lloyd left, everyone at the AAWA meeting was making fun of him and how much of a petulant child he was being.

Can’t help but think that if Bo was really hitting on Dijana, she might have been better off taking him up on it. The infidelities might have continued but Bo had his own band, his own business and would have actually given her a decent bang for the first time in her life.

TonusOH - Excellent post, I think you accurately summed up the last year for him.

Regarding the livestream, I found this comment which was a little off script for him in its honesty as to where his mind was at.

He does acknowledge it was a bad idea to go live like that, but he misses the point entirely. No words were misconstrued. Perhaps he means he didn't exactly say the words "I saw sex workers in Thailand" in the livestream, but in his "update" that he mentions he admits to seeing sex workers (plural) in Thailand. Thus, he completely obliterates that line of argument and immediately makes it worse on himself.

He's an extremely poor liar who by his clumsy attempts it appears has never really been called out for being one before. Not by his parents, his wife, and most exJWs up until that point. He's someone who thinks everyone should and will trust what he says as coming from a position of authority. Possibly a bit of that elder mentality he has held onto (sorry Tibor).

It's also worth noting that the pic of the Thai girl he was with had not been circulating at the time of the livestream which was probably why he omitted any direct reference to visiting sex workers there. When he released his "update" on 4 February, the pic was out, he knew he was caught and needed some explanation about meeting young women in Thailand. He gave a convoluted explanation which was not well thought out, and then only compounded further when he told Andrew Gold he was dating a sex worker.

The prudent thing to do as pr0ner had pointed out was to wait and see what information was out there and work out his response once he knew the extent of the damage. In his arrogance he thought he could mitigate all damage immediately and have the guns turned on Kim and others. This arrogance of his was the weak point in all this, and it cost him dearly. 405 patrons now and the month is half over. His begging bump have been mostly reversed. The information is out there, and people are reading about him and what he did. It's insanity to give this guy any money and though people may still watch his content, they'll think twice about hitting the Patreon button.
